Yes, only if OCI status was obtained before 04/03/2021, and candidate has passed 10th & 12th from Maharashtra and is domicile of Maharashtra or has stayed in Maharashtra for minimum 10 years.
Who is eligible for Institutional quota MBBS seats in Unaided Private/Minority colleges?
Any eligible candidate on All India basis including NRI, OCI, and Outside Maharashtra candidates (OMS) based on NEET UG 2026 merit.

What caste certificates are required for constitutional reservation claim?
Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate (CVC), and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (for DT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), SEBC & OBC including SBC) valid up to 31/03/2026 or later.
What EWS certificate format is acceptable for Maharashtra MBBS?
Only State Government format (Annexure-T) is acceptable. Central Government format will NOT be accepted. Annual income below Rs. 8,00,000/- as per state norms.

Defence (Annexure-C), Person with Disability (Annexure-D), MKB (Maharashtra-Karnataka Border) (Annexure-E), Hilly Area (Annexure-F), and Orphan (Annexure-V).

15% Institutional quota seats filled on All India basis including NRI, OCI, and OMS candidates through online CAP round by Competent Authority.

85% seats under State quota for candidates from Maharashtra, with constitutional, specified, and female reservations.
Who fills the 15% All India Quota seats in Government/Corporation Medical Colleges?
Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS, New Delhi.
Can a candidate register fresh for Round 3 if not registered in Round 1?
Yes, candidate can register fresh for Round 3 even if not registered for Round 1.
In which rounds can a candidate submit online application for Maharashtra State quota MBBS seats?
Round 1 and Round 3 (not Round 2). Notifications will be issued by State CET Cell.
Is the application fee refundable?
No, the application fee is non-refundable.
What happens if a candidate commits a mistake in filling the online application form?
Mistakes cannot be corrected by the office. The office takes no responsibility for such applications.
What is the declaration that the candidate must agree to?
That all information is true and correct; if found fraudulent, candidate is liable for criminal prosecution and seat cancellation; candidate agrees to abide by all rules; and will submit original certificates at verification.
Is revaluation of HSC marks allowed for eligibility?
If marks are revised on revaluation, candidate can avail benefit of revised marks upto the last date of physical document verification by representing to Competent Authority with proof.
What proof of nationality is acceptable?
Nationality Certificate from District Magistrate/Addl. District Magistrate/Metropolitan Magistrate, valid Indian Passport, or School Leaving Certificate of HSC/12th indicating nationality as ‘Indian’.
Are candidates who passed SSC/HSC outside Maharashtra but are not domicile of Maharashtra eligible for State quota MBBS?
No, not eligible except those exempted under Defence, MKB, Institutional quota, or children of Government employees transferred to Maharashtra (Rules 4.7 and 4.8).
What happens if a candidate claims constitutional reservation in the online application form but does not submit Caste Validity Certificate at document verification?
The candidate will be automatically considered in Open Category if otherwise eligible for Open Category.
Can a candidate change category from Open to reserved after the last date of online application form?
No. Such requests will be straight away rejected.
What is the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate validity required for DT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), SEBC and OBC (including SBC) candidates?
Must be valid up to 31/3/2026 or later, submitted at physical document verification.
What is the inter-se conversion order for vacant constitutional reserve seats?
Group-I: SC & ST. Group-II: DT(A) & NT(B). Group-III: NT(C), NT(D), OBC including SBC. If still vacant, inter-se merit from combined group, then to common state merit list.

15% institutional quota seats filled through CAP round on All India basis including NRI/OCI/OMS candidates.
What is the reservation for constitutional reservation category in Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions?
25% seats of total intake capacity.
Is there specified reservation (other than female) in Unaided Private Institutions?
No. Only 30% female reservation applies. No other specified reservation.
What is the grouping for online preference filling for MBBS?
Group A for MBBS/BDS courses. Separate preference forms for each round.
What do the suffixes S and N indicate in college codes?
Suffix S = State quota (Government/Corporation/Government Aided colleges & 85% in Private/Minority colleges). Suffix N = 15% Institutional quota in Private/Minority colleges.
Who can fill preferences with suffix N (Institutional quota)?
Candidates who applied for Institutional quota by paying Rs. 5000/- fee. NRI candidates can fill only suffix N. OMS candidates can fill only suffix N.
Can a non-NRI candidate apply for both State quota and Institutional quota?
Yes, by paying Rs. 1000/- for State quota and additional Rs. 5000/- for Institutional quota, and will pay fees fixed for Institutional quota.
