How is the question paper structured?
Divided into five time-bound sections (Group A, B, C, D, E) of 40 questions each. Each section has 42 minutes.
Can I go back to a previous section after its time is over?

No. Shift allotment is purely random by NBEMS.

No. NBEMS only conducts the exam, declares result, and hands over results to the counseling authority. Counseling is done by MCC or respective state authorities.

Can I submit more than one application form for NEET-PG 2026?

What happens if I report after the reporting counter closes?
You will not be allowed to appear in the exam under any circumstances.
What documents must I carry to the test centre?
Printed copy of barcode/QR coded admit card, photocopy of Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration, and one original valid Govt photo ID (PAN, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar with photo).
Can I show ID proof from DigiLocker?
No. DigiLocker is not acceptable as electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam centre.
What ID proof should foreign nationals carry?
Foreign nationals must carry their original valid passport and proof of being a medical practitioner in their country (e.g., registration with medical council).
What if my name has changed due to marriage?
You must show relevant document (marriage certificate, divorce decree, legal name change document, or Gazette notification) to substantiate the name change.
Can I wear a wristwatch or smartwatch inside the exam centre?
No. Wrist watches, smart watches, health bands, and all electronic devices are strictly prohibited.
Can I carry a water bottle or eatables?
No. No eatables, soft drinks, or water bottles are allowed inside the exam premises.
What happens if I am found carrying a prohibited item beyond the security checkpoint?
It will be considered as use of unfair means and action will be taken as per NBEMS rules.

Will biometrics be captured on exam day?
Yes. Finger biometrics and photographs will be captured at registration, during bio-breaks, and during the exam.
Will rough paper or pen be provided at the test centre?
No. Rough paper or pen/pencil is neither required nor permitted.
What if there is a technical disruption during the exam (e.g., power failure)?
The timer will stop when failure occurs and resume after rectification. You will not lose any allocated exam time.
Can I carry medicine or a medical device?
Yes, but you must carry supportive medical documents. Without documents, you will not be permitted.
Do I need prior approval for a scribe?
Yes. Prior approval from NBEMS is required via the Communication Web Portal with documents as per RPwD Act 2016. You must also indicate scribe requirement in the application form.
In which cities is NEET-PG 2026 conducted?
Refer to the tentative city list in the Information Bulletin (Page 7-11). NBEMS may add or remove cities due to logistic reasons.
How is the test city chosen?
You choose the city during online application on first-come-first-serve basis based on availability. NBEMS allots the specific venue in that city.
