Madhya Pradesh State Medical Counselling Procedure

MBBS Admission Counselling for Madhya Pradesh is conducted by Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh . The counselling includes MBBS Seats in government and private medical colleges located in Madhya Pradesh State. 

Non-domicile students who are registered for Madhya Pradesh MBBS Admission counselling might be considered for allotment in second round and subsequent rounds of counselling but only after exhaustion of merit list of native students.

Counselling Registration:

There are 5 steps in online MBBS Admission application submission for Madhya Pradesh. 

  • Step 1 : Candidate Registration: There is only single registration which happens before the first round of counselling. Candidates who have not registered will not be allowed to participate in any other rounds of counselling.
  • Step 2 : Fill Application Form: Fill all the mandatory fields in the online application
  • Step 3: Upload Documents
  • Step 3 : Fees payment: Payment of counselling fee either by Online Payment through Net-banking/Credit Card/Debit Card
  • Step 5 : Take Printout: Candidate should take the print out of the Application form for future references.

Allotment Process

1. Madhya Pradesh counselling process is conducted Online.

2. Counselling Registration 

3. Merit list: Merit list will be published on the official website.

4. Counselling Schedule will be published online.

5.The candidate should fill their college choices based on their preference order.

6. After 1 week, Seat allotment will be published.

7. Candidates who are allotted seat in first round will have to secure and confirm their admission on or before last date of admission of that particular round by depositing original documents after verification in allotted institute followed by payment of admission fee online.

Counselling Rounds

Directorate of Madhya pradesh Medical Education conducts three rounds of counselling. These are

  1. First Round counselling
  2. Second Round counselling
  3. Mop up Round

After Mop up round, if any stray vacancies in college, the merit list will be sponsored to the college. In order to sponsor, if the candidates are interested to join, it will open fresh registration in addition to the existing candidates.

Forfeiture of Fees

  • Candidates who do not confirm their admission during first round will forfeit their allotted seat but are exempted from any forfeiture of fee. 
  • Candidate who are seeking allotment in second round and mop-up round are required to pay additional fees online.Candidates who have paid second round fee are required to pay only different amount for participation in mop-up round.
  • Candidates who are allotted seat in second/mopup round will have to secure and confirm their admission by depositing original documents after verification. Candidates who do not confirm their admission of second round and mopup round will forfeit both allotted seat as well as fees.

Upgradation

  • Admitted candidates can participate in second round by submitting willingness for up-gradation during admission and by payment of second round fees.
  • Candidates if they upgrade will forfeit amount of admission processing fee that is decided by admitted college . They need to pay differential admission fee online.

Resignation

Candidates will forfeit only 10% of admission fees or Rs 10000 whichever is maximum as processing charge if they resign from admitted seat before joining state of second round. But if candidates resign after that, they will have to penalty will include a fine of whole course fees or amount mentioned in the bond.

Eligibility to Participate for MP State Medical Counselling

  • Candidates secured a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible to apply.
  • As on 31-Dec-2020, candidates should have completed 17 years of age.
  • candidates belong to the SC/ST category, they should have obtained 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. PWD candidates should take 15% in the same subjects.

To Claiming the Nativity & Domicile

  • Student should be native of Madhya Pradesh to become eligible for both Government and Private medical colleges in Madhya pradesh
