85% State Quota MBBS seats are divided as follows:
15% seats for Scheduled Castes (SC), 10% of seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) in local area.
29% of the available seats reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes
33 1/3% of seats in state wide institutions guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e., Open Competition, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes Groups A, B, C, D & E, Army quota and other reservations. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33 1/3% or more of the seats there in.
The Special category reservation for CAP (Army) 1 %, Physically Challenged 5 % and Police Martyrs Children (PMC) 0.25%. Document Verification for Special Category reservation is conducted at verification centers. Candidates applying under special reservation category need to visit the document verification centres along with original certificates. NCC cadets (who have obtained NCC certificates) who have
applied for admission, shall be provided with grace marks as follows. RDC – 7%, TSC / VSC / NSC – 5%, NCC – B Certificate – 3%.
10% of total seats reserved for EWS Category in specified Government Medical Colleges.
