Important Note:

Fees Concession and Exemption is applicable in Tuition Fees only. Candidates should pay Other Fees like Library, ID card, hostel, and mess charges.

1. First Graduate (FG) Fee Concession

Eligibility:

  • No member in the family (siblings or parents) should have availed the First Graduate tuition fee concession.
  • Annual parental income must not exceed ₹2.50 lakhs.

Required Documents:

  • A valid First Graduate certificate obtained from the Head Quarters Deputy Tahsildar.
  • Income certificate (Family income ≤ ₹2.50 lakhs).
  • Joint declaration form and self-attested supporting documents (Annexure-VIII).

Institutional Coverage: Applicable for Government Quota in both Govt and Private Medical Colleges

2. SC/ST/SCA Fee Exemption and Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Students belonging to SC/ST/SCA or SC converted to Christianity.
  • Annual parental income must not exceed ₹2.50 lakhs.

Required Documents:

  • Valid Community Certificate.
  • Income Certificate (Family income < ₹2.5 lakh).

Institutional Coverage: Fully waived in Government, Government-aided, and Private institutions.

1. Is the First Graduate Fee Concession applicable for BC Candidates?
Yes. The First Graduate (FG) tuition fee concession is applicable for all category reservation candidates (including BC, BCM, MBC, SC, SCA, and ST), provided they meet the eligibility criteria of being the first graduate in their family.
2. Is this concession applicable only for Tamil Nadu candidates?
The First Graduate concession is specifically for Tamil Nadu candidates only. However, the SC/ST Tuition Fee Waiver is a separate scheme that is applicable in most states across India for students belonging to those categories.
