Deemed University MBBS Counselling (MCC)

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts centralized counselling for Deemed Universities across India under the All India Quota process. All Deemed University 100% MBBS seats, including Management (Minority) and NRI categories, are filled through MCC online counselling based on NEET-UG rank. Candidates from any state in India are eligible to participate, as there is no state domicile restriction for deemed universities.

The counselling process includes registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted college. Fees for deemed universities are generally higher compared to government and private state quota seats. MCC ensures transparent, merit-based allotment through multiple rounds including Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy round.

Round 1 Registration Process

Candidates must visit the official MCC website:
https://mcc.nic.in/ and click on “New Registration”.
Enter personal details, NEET roll number, and academic information to complete registration.

  • Registration Fee: ₹5,000 (Non-refundable)
  • Security Deposit: ₹2,00,000 (Refundable as per rules)

After payment, candidates should check the seat matrix released by MCC and proceed with choice filling. Save all selected choices carefully.

NRI Conversion Process

Candidates who did not select NRI status in NEET application can apply for conversion during MCC counselling.

  • Wait for MCC NRI conversion notification
  • Submit required documents via official MCC email
  • MCC will release a list of approved NRI candidates
  • Only listed candidates can opt for NRI seats

Choice Locking

Candidates must lock their choices within the given schedule. Only those who complete registration, choice filling, and locking are eligible for seat allotment.

Round 1 Result & Scenarios

  1. No Allotment: Wait for next rounds or exit without losing security deposit.
  2. Seat Allotted & Willing to Join:
    • Download allotment letter
    • Report to college with original documents
    • Complete admission within deadline
  3. Seat Allotted & Want Upgrade:
    • Join the college
    • Opt for upgradation in next rounds
  4. Seat Allotted but Not Joining:
    • No action required
    • Eligible for next rounds
    • No security deposit loss

Round 2 Counselling

Fresh registration is allowed. Candidates must check vacant seats and newly added seats before choice filling.

Round 2 Scenarios

  • Scenarios 1–3 same as Round 1
  • If not joining allotted seat → ₹2,00,000 security deposit forfeited
  • If upgraded → Must join new college and pay fresh security deposit for further rounds

Mop-Up Round (Round 3)

Fresh registration allowed. Candidates must check updated seat matrix and complete choice filling.

  • No upgradation allowed after joining
  • Not joining → Security deposit forfeited
  • Not eligible for Stray Round if seat not joined

Stray Vacancy Round (Round 4)

Fresh registration allowed. Candidates must check vacancy list and NRI conversion updates.

  • No upgradation or resignation allowed
  • Rules similar to Mop-Up Round

Final Rounds

If seats remain vacant, MCC may conduct additional counselling rounds. Only previously registered candidates are eligible as per MCC rules.
