57. What items are prohibited inside the examination hall?

Instruments, Geometry box, Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, Textual material, Eatables, Mobile Phones, Electronic Watches, etc.

Yes, candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking with metal detectors and biometric authentication.

59. Does qualifying NEET (UG) guarantee admission to medical courses?

No, selection is subject to fulfilling admission criteria, eligibility, and rank in the merit list.

60. What happens if a candidate submits false information?

The application shall be rejected at any stage, and the candidature may be cancelled.

61. Will information be provided under RTI Act during the examination process?

No, factual information under RTI shall be provided only after declaration of the final result.

62. What declaration must candidates submit with the application form?

Candidates must declare all particulars are true and they have read the Information Bulletin carefully.

63. What happens if a candidate fills more than one application form?

It is treated as Unfair Means (UFM). Candidates may be debarred for three years.

80. Are spectacles allowed in the photograph?

Only if being used regularly.

81. Are Polaroid and computer-generated photos acceptable?

No, they are not acceptable.

82. What happens if someone else’s photograph is uploaded?

Candidature shall be cancelled and considered as Unfair Means.

83. What is the proof of successful fee payment?

Generation of the Confirmation Page.

84. Is mere deduction of fee from bank account proof of payment?

No, the Confirmation Page must be generated.

85. What is the validity of OTP generated during registration?

10 minutes only.

86. What should candidates do if Confirmation Page is not generated after payment?

Approach the Bank/Payment Gateway helpdesk; if unresolved, pay a second time.

87. Will duplicate payments be refunded?

Yes, after declaration of result and fee reconciliation by NTA.

88. What is the syllabus for NEET (UG) 2026?

89. How many questions are there in NEET (UG) 2026?

200 total questions (180 to be answered).

93. What happens if a question has more than one correct option?

+4 marks will be awarded to those who marked any of the correct options.

94. What happens if all options are found correct?

+4 marks will be awarded to all who attempted the question.

95. What happens if a question is found wrong or dropped?

+4 marks will be given to all candidates who appeared.

96. What is the mode of examination for NEET (UG) 2026?

PEN and PAPER mode (single day/single shift).

97. What is the duration of the test?

Three (03) hours and 20 minutes.

98. Is compensatory time given to PwD/PwBD candidates?

Yes, one hour compensatory time is given.

99. In how many languages is NEET (UG) 2026 conducted?

13 languages (including English, Hindi, Tamil, etc.).

100. Can the medium of question paper be changed after submission?

No, the option once chosen cannot be changed.
