Hi Sir, I belong to OBC.NCL category and my home station is Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. My son is studying in Telangana(from 8th class to 12thclass) and having a local status, falls under General category(being caste not recognised in BC ) in Telangana State. As per the Presidential order, AP Govt. has allowing students from Telangana for considering as Local status for higher education in AP. In this context, can my son participate in AP counselling as local candidate with OBC NCL status. Please clarify and which certificate is need during counselling at AP? Further, can my son participate in Telangana counselling as nonlocal category also. Please advise which is more beneficial ?

In general, Telangana cut of is less compared to Andhra. You haven’t mentioned the BC subcategory so it is difficult to compare.. For general category in Telangana the cut off last year was 500 for govt college and 362 for govt quota in private college.. click here to find andhra bc subreservation category cut off..
