You can choose the “OTHERS” option. NBEMS will try to allot a centre in your correspondence address State, but may allot anywhere in India if needed.
Can I change my test city after submitting the application?
No. Test city is non-editable and requests for change will not be entertained.
How do I create an account for NEET-PG 2026 application?
New user registration on NBEMS website to generate User ID and Password.
Can I edit my name after submitting the application?
No. Name is non-editable after submission. If entered wrongly during registration, create a new user with correct name.
What email ID should I use for registration?
Use a valid email ID as all official communication will be sent there. Same email cannot be used for another user concurrently.
Will SMS be the primary means of communication?
No. Email is the primary means. SMS is for alerts only.
Can I complete the application form in multiple sittings?
Yes. You can save and complete in multiple sittings during the application window.
What happens if I upload an old photograph (more than 3 months old)?
It may lead to rejection of application if not corrected during the final edit window.

Name, Email ID, Mobile number, Nationality, and Test City cannot be edited even during edit window.

Will NBEMS change my category or PwD status if I made a mistake?
No. NBEMS does not edit any information. The details you submit will be pre-populated in counseling registration and cannot be changed by MCC either.

Can I share exam content (questions/answers) with others or on social media?
No. That violates the Non-Disclosure Agreement and may lead to penal action and cancellation of candidature.
What actions are considered unfair means?
False statements in application, tampering documents, possession/use of electronic gadgets, copying, exchanging materials, talking to others, possessing unauthorized notes, impersonation, etc.
What happens if I am found using unfair means?
Penal action including cancellation of candidature and debarment from future NBEMS examinations.
What is the normalization process for NEET-PG 2026?
Raw marks obtained by candidates in different shifts are normalized to obtain normalized marks for final merit list using a specific formula. Raw marks are not used for ranking or qualifying purposes.
Will raw marks be reported or disclosed?
No. Raw marks will not be reported or disclosed; they become infructuous after normalization.
What is the qualifying percentile for General/EWS category?
50th percentile.
What is the qualifying percentile for SC/ST/OBC (including PwD of these categories)?
40th percentile.
What is the qualifying percentile for UR PwD candidates?
45th percentile.
How long will the score card be available for download?
For 6 months from the date of result declaration. Requests after that will not be entertained.
Will there be re-evaluation or rechecking of responses?
No. Re-evaluation, rechecking, or re-totaling of responses is not permitted.
Can I challenge a question in the exam?
Yes. Questions can be challenged for technical errors with supportive literature within 2 calendar days after the exam via registered email only. Difficulty level cannot be challenged.
How long is the NEET-PG 2026 result valid?
Only for the 2026-27 admission session for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. It cannot be carried forward to the next session.
What if two candidates get the same normalized marks?
Tie-breaking criteria in order: fewer negative responses overall, then section-wise (A to E), then higher aggregate MBBS percentage (or FMGE marks for foreign graduates), then older candidate gets higher rank.
What is the NEET-PG 2026 rank?
Overall merit position of the candidate amongst all candidates who appeared in NEET-PG 2026.
What is the All India 50% quota rank?
Merit position amongst candidates eligible for All India 50% quota counseling for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses.

Merit position within the candidate’s category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) amongst eligible candidates for All India 50% quota counseling.
Who is eligible for All India 50% quota counseling?
Only candidates who fulfill eligibility criteria provided by the designated counseling authority (MCC). Qualifying NEET-PG alone does not guarantee eligibility.
What if I qualify NEET-PG but am not eligible for All India quota counseling?
You may still be eligible for State quota seats as per state regulations and reservation policies.

No. Candidates below the required percentile will not be given any merit position or rank.

Yes. Candidates must verify from respective State Government/UT regarding eligibility for State quota seats.
Are OCI cardholders eligible for reservation under SC/ST/OBC/EWS?
No. OCI cardholders are treated as Unreserved (General) category only. They are eligible for UR seats and NRI seats.
Are NRI candidates eligible for Indian National seats?
Yes. NRI candidates are eligible for both NRI seats and Indian National seats as per their merit.
Is OBC creamy layer eligible for OBC reservation?

Does NBEMS have any role in counseling and seat allotment?

Application will be rejected. Also if there is gross difference in appearance between real-time and uploaded photo, application will be rejected.
What are the signature upload specifications?
Sign on white paper within a 3.5cm (width) x 1.5cm (height) box with black or dark blue ink. Digital image size 20-100kb, .jpg/.jpeg. Complete signature required, not initials.
What are the thumb impression upload specifications?
Left thumb impression on white paper within 3.5cm x 1.5cm box using fresh blue/black ink pad. Print should be clear, not smudged or too light. Digital image size <80kb, .jpg/.jpeg.
What happens if my uploaded images do not meet the guidelines or I fail to correct them in the final edit window?
Your application will be rejected.
