Admission Procedure and Eligibility

• Applicant must have passed higher secondary certificate Examination or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as a major or compulsory subject.
• Applicant must have passed SSC(10th) or equivalent examination not before four years and HSC(12th) or equivalent examination not before two years and  obtained average 75% or equivalent grade in secondary school certificate (SSC) and higher secondary certificate (HSC), Approx 65% in subjects separately, 4 GPA in SSC & HSC.

Admission process

• All academic certificate must be transferred to Bangladesh standard, this process through the collection of Equivalence Certificate from DGHS Dhaka and Student Visa process through the embassy of Bangladesh.
• Students should be submitted in SMCH prescribed forms and attested copies of mark sheets and certificates etc. have to be furnished along with the application.
• The certificates and mark sheets must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the respective country of the applicant’s academic institution.
• Without attestation, no application will be accepted. After this applicants will require to produce all academic certificates and mark sheets in original during their admission.

Infrastructure

Southern Medical College & Hospital is spread over on 2.5 acres of land at East Nasirabad, Khulshi, Chittagong. This College has well organized administrative offices & all the departments are well-furnished & adequately equipped for the lectures, tutorials, dissection. There are laboratories with a spacious practical room, museum & library with all sort of subject books, journals and separated reading rooms for students and faculties with comfortable seating arrangements. E-library and sources are available on computers with internet facilities.

This College infrastructure consists of Five buildings, first academic building with four storied. There are two hospital buildings available, one with five storied and other hospital building with six storied. Students hostel building with five storied available separately for Male and female students. Kidney dialysis unit building is available.

Facilities

Southern Medical College in Chittagong has separate hostel accommodation facilities for both male students and female students. The hostel is situated inside the college campus. The student can reach the college within a few minutes. The Hostel rooms are well designed and Comfortable for students to stay. The authority Providing these hostel facilities at a low cost. This hospital is one of the multi-specialty hospitals in Chittagong. This can help by providing the highest possible quality of effective care and treatment with low cost to every patient and producing good levels of patient satisfaction.  This hospital is providing all sort of medical practical chances to students. Southern Medical College hospital has two buildings and its functioning quite well. It has separated Kidney dialysis unit building. It is notable that only two hospitals in Chittagong have a special unit for Kidney dialysis facilities.

  Developed the Orthopedic Department at Chittagong is still lagging behind in this area but here the good facilities for that department.
