For Govt colleges seats are reserved for 15% AIQ and 85% seats to State Counseling, for private colleges reservation 100% seats are state counseling.

AIQ 15 % Reservation

Schedule Caste (SC) – 02%

Schedule Tribe (ST) – 01 %

General (GN) – 08 %

Other Backwards Classes (OBC) – 04 %

Vertical Reservation in State Counseling

All govt colleges After reduced AIQ reservation 15%,  Balance seats are distributed to the state counseling reservation policy mention below,

EWS – 10%

OBC – 27%

SC – 21%

ST – 2%

Balance seats are reserved under General or Unreserved category and unfilled seats from reserved categories also consider as GN/UR.

Horizontal Reservation

Within the vertical reservation category Uttar Pradesh medical counseling authority provides following Horizontal reservation.

Person With Disabilities (PWD) – 5%

Freedom fighters – 2 %

Ex-Servicemen – 2%

NCC – 1%

Women Candidates – 20%
