MBBS Course

Uzhhorod National University provides Medical institute training within 6 years. UZNU institute’s academic year consists of 2 semesters, the first term starts in September and the second term starts in February. At the end of each semester, the final control is provided, which means the students have to be passing the tests and examinations in all subjects. In the process of constant training at UZNU institute, the student’s progress is getting improved which means they have to attend all their classes for improving their knowledge, medical field service. Uzhhorod National Medical College is well designed with advanced infrastructure. This University has hostels to the educational buildings that are well-protected and actively patrolled by the officers of guard service. which helps students in enriching their experience and safety at the college. This university has separate teaching departments and faculties. Natural sciences and humanities, 23 educational-scientific institutes and faculties have a total of 113 departments and 25 scientific-research institutes Centers with laboratories. There are 4 museums available including archaeological, zoological. The center of student leisure “Juventus” is a common room and sports complex “Burevisnyk”, “Plishka” the alpine skiing base, biological base “Kolochava”. Botanical Gardens, a vivarium, the sanatorium – dispensary “Skalka”. Laboratories and lecture halls are available with complete equipment.
Here over 13,000 students enrolled in the university. More scientific institutes and laboratories available at the university. The Institute for Solid State Physics and Chemistry and the Research Laboratory of Physical Electronics with the Space Exploration Laboratory, the Institute of Carpathian Studies, the Center for Hungarian studies, and the Research Laboratories of Ecosystem Conservation. All departments are available with separated laboratories and lecture halls with needed amenities.

Library:
Uzhhorod National University’s general library has a collection that includes approximately more than 1.7 million documents. The Research Library of this university has provided scientific and educational processes of the University and serves above 15 thousand users. Delivery of books during the year is about 1 million documents.This Library books exchange leads with 35 national libraries, also just as well as an international book exchange with 5 foreign libraries, a library of the Academy of Sciences and the Science Museum. Hostel

Uzhhorod National University’s accommodation facilities are available with five halls of residence and many private apartment options. These halls are facilitated with advanced infrastructures. In 2012 the UZNU accommodation facility was voted as the “Best in Ukraine”. In 2013, the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey provided recently named the “Best Student Housing”. The university has very high-quality hostel facilities with completely furnished rooms with an excellent study environment and surrounded by an amusement center. It has a total of 5 hostels and approximately spread over in the area of above 28,431 sq. with an accommodation facility of a total of 2500 students including international students, graduate students, student families, interns. Internet facility is provided into all rooms and halls of hostels with Wi-Fi & Broadband facilities. The hostel rooms are very spacious in size and number of conveniences. Well-furnished dormitory rooms at the hostel are available and they can easily accommodate 2 or 3 students each. These rooms are equipped with beds, pillows, blankets, mattresses, desks, cupboards, chairs, heating, water systems, and suitable lighting for both study and relaxation. All sections have one common kitchen and washroom. The campus has student clinics and student shops. The cafes and playground facilities are available. Students have specific accommodations for every student are assigned and after a satisfactory health report and the student will be accommodated in the room.

UZNU has 5 faculties with 60 departments, It has an Institute of Nursing Hospitals University Dental Center, University Hospital, 15 affiliated regional and municipal teaching hospitals, and 4 practical training centers. The university facilities are the main building with numerous departments of the regional and city clinical hospitals, 4 polyclinics, and 6 dispensaries.
Zakarpatska oblast’s district hospitals are multifaceted medical establishments that are used for practical training. Central City Clinical Hospital of Uzhhorod in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine developed on 28.10.2002 with the list of healthcare facilities, medical, pharmacist positions and positions of junior specialists with pharmaceutical education in health care facilities.

The Central City Clinical Hospital is a multidisciplinary medical institution that provides medical care to the residents of Uzhhorod on the basis of the institution, with17 inpatient departments. Those are admission department, therapeutic department, neurological department, pediatric surgery department, vascular neurology department, cardiology department, cardiology department for patients with myocardial infarction, surgical department, traumatology department, surgical department with anesthesiology and anesthesiology point, department of functional diagnostics, sterilization department, X-ray department, endoscopic office, ultrasound diagnostics office are available. There are 359 hospital beds available in inpatient facilities with therapeutic, cardiological, urological, neurological, gastroenterological, otolaryngological, oncological, pediatric medical medicine, and traumatology. All departments are available with fully equipped modern facilities.
