NEET State Quota Medical counselling

State Quota Medical counselling:

85% of the seats available in government medical colleges within the state are allotted to students who belong to that state under the state government quota. The number of MBBS seats vary from state to state based on the number of government medical colleges and the total MBBS seats permitted by Medical Council of India.

State Quota MBBS Seats in Self-financing Private Medical Colleges

Some states have included 50% to 65% of MBBS Seats in self-financing colleges as state quota seats which comes under the subsidised tuition of Rs 4 lakhs/annum to Rs 6.5 lakhs/annum. For example, Tamilnadu allots 50% of 10 private medical colleges MBBS seats under the state counselling at subsidized fees of Rs 4 lakhs/annum.
