- Sardar Patel Medical College Bikaner is one of the Popular Medical Colleges in Rajasthan state and it was inaugurated in the year 1959 by the 1st Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
- Initially, the college name was Bikaner Medical College, and later the people of Bikaner had offered a handsome sum to be donated.
