•  Andhra Medical college teaching hospital is King George Hospital.
• This was inaugurated on 19 July 1923 by Honorable Rajah of Panagal, Chief Minister of Madras.

This Hospital was started with 192 beds, included with departments of Gynaecology, Maternity, Ophthalmology, Venerology, and Infectious Diseases.
Then in 1928, Gynaecology and Maternity block with 40 beds were constructed.Twin operation theatres and special ward were constructed in 1951.
The renovation of the 24-hour Clinical laboratory block was in 1992.
On 8 October 1993, the Nuclear Medicine block was opened, this is the first-of-its-kind in the state government.
Now, this Hospital has 1037 beds and Outside teaching hospitals have 570 beds.
These are distributed to the respective medical departments.
Nearly 1350 outpatients are visiting here and all beds are occupied by the inpatients care.
There are a total of 30 air-conditioned operation theatres are available, these are divided as 21 for major and 9 for minor operation facilities.
This Hospital was originally started as a private hospital named after Queen Victoria.
This Hospital was donated by the late Maharajah Sri G.N.Gajapathi Rao, KCIE in 1894.
Then the Government of Madras took over the administration of this Hospital in 1949.
It has three units with 147 beds and this was recently renovated with new blocks.This was constructed in 1871 as an exclusive hospital for mental care to accommodate 94 patients.
Later this has developed its capacity to provide medical care about 300 patients.
RCDH was started as per the will of the late Rani of Chemudu, Chandramani Devi in 1965, It was created for the handicapped children in the district.
This department was initially Starting under a private management hospital with 30 beds.
In 1967 this was taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
This hospital was started in 1961 at Seethammadhara about 3 km from the Andhra Medical College.
Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases department has 240 beds with 4 wards.
Emergency Ward and Respiratory Intensive Care Unit.
Mahatma Gandhi Ward for non-tuberculosis lung diseases and the department of Communicable Diseases is situated opposite the TB Hospital with 48 beds in 4 wards.
In 1981 this hospital with 75 beds in the Ophthalmology department was shifted to its present site in Seethammadhara near the TB Hospital from King George Hospital.
The new building was completed in 1988 and from 1990 the new ‘Regional Eye Hospital’ has been fully functioning.
This hospital has increased its beds to 200 with two main Operation Theatres.The ENT Hospital is also shifted from the King George Hospital to a new building in Waltair near the Hospital for Mental Care with new treatment facilities.
Rural Health Training Centres : RHTC – Simhachalam located 16 km from the college.
Urban Health Training Centres : UHTC – Bhim Nagar located 3 km from the college.
