• In 1977 onwards Kasturba Medical College running independently and later KMC Hospital Attavar was established in 1992.

• For the purpose of first year students Center Basic Sciences was started at Bejai in 2001.  Medical Education Unit is available that conducts an Orientation program for students, interns and postgraduates.
• The Kasturba Medical College Central Library was established in 1953.
• The library covered by 4100 sq.meters with three floors.
• It is fully air conditioned that has an Inside and outside reading rooms in the Library for students.

• Apart from the Departments of Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry has two lecture halls which has 250 capacity of each.
