Govt NRI
Candidates must fulfill eligibility norms set by the National Medical Commission and Counseling is conducted through the Medical Counselling Committee and respective state authorities. NRI seats are available in selected government medical colleges across India. The number of seats varies from state to state and is limited. Tuition fees are higher than regular government quota seats. However, fees are generally lower than private medical college NRI seats and it will usually be USD but some have Indian Rupees.
All colleges require fee payment yearly but some require to pay the whole amount in one time or 2 or 3 schedules. Proper NRI documentation and sponsorship proof are mandatory. This quota offers eligible NRI students an opportunity to study MBBS in reputed government institutions in India. Like AIIMS Delhi and States such as Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, along with the Union Territory of Puducherry, offer Government Medical Colleges with NRI seat reservations. The availability of seats, fee structure, and eligibility criteria may vary by state, but all admissions are conducted under official regulatory guidelines.
