Foreign board students who wish to pursue medical education in India must qualify for NEET UG, as it is a mandatory entrance examination for MBBS and related courses. However, candidates from international boards such as IB, IGCSE, Cambridge GCE or other foreign curricula must meet specific eligibility criteria set by the authorities. 1. NEET Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board/university.
- Candidates must have completed 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology with English in same board.
- General category students must score 50%, SC/ST/OBC candidates 40%, and PwD candidates 45% in PCB subjects to meet the eligibility criteria.
- The candidate must be at least 17 years old on or before 31 December of the admission year. There is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET UG.
2. Requirements
- Foreign Board marksheet need equivalence verification from Association of Indian Universities
- The Candidates should get eligibility certificate from Concerned Universities at the time of Counselling (Deemed and Private Colleges)
Notes:
- If a student has completed Class 12 without PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or is missing any one of these subjects, they must complete the required subject either from the same recognized board or through National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Only after fulfilling this requirement will they be eligible for NEET Counselling.
- After then they get Equivalency Certificate from AIU
3. Needed Documents
Foreign Board Candidates should prepare all below documents at the time of NEET Counselling. If any documents missing, Admission will be canceled at the time of joining
- Passport / Nationality proof
- Equivalence certificate
- Eligibility certificate
- Marksheet Transcript (If needed)
- NEET scorecard
- NEET Admit Card
- 10, 11 and 12 Marksheets
- Conduct Certificate
- Transfer Certificate
- Migration certificate
If the Candidate will get 150 to 400, they can participate in NRI Quota. Below NRI and OCI documents are given
