• Government Medical College, Ernakulam is spread over an area of 60 acres at Kalamassery in the suburbs of Ernakulam district of Kerala.
• The central library has an area of 1600 square meters.
• The library is operating in two floors.
• The ground floor includes the stack room, the staff seating arrangement, the journal section, the binding section, the acquisition section and the computer section.
• The first floor of the Library has a reading room for students and photocopying section.
• There are 8213 books more than 100 journals including National and International journals.
• The working hours of library from 10 am to 7 pm.
• There are fifty seats for teaching staff, 100 seats for students, 25 seats for Interns and 25 seats for PG students.The Library has 25 computers with Internet Nodes.

• The books are organized in the library, subject wise and an American classification type is used for this purpose.
