- His Famous Cardinal N.T.Gilroy of Australia blessed the first hospital building on 30th December 1952 that was commissioned by the Cardinal V.Gracias, H.E.
- Martin Lucas, SVD, the then Apostolic Internuncio to India started this institution on 23rd April, 1953.
- Cardinal Tisserant blessed the first operation theatre in the same year.
- This hospital totally has 1500 beds.
