- Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College (MLBMC) came into existence in 1968 and perhaps the biggest medical college campus in the country as spread over a walled area of 380 acres.
- The MLBMC Hospital is one of the largest government-run hospitals of Uttar Pradesh and this medical college is named after the “Queen Of Jhansi” MAHARANI LAXMI BAI.

- The MLB Medical College Jhansi building is spread over a walled area of 380 acres and college building grouped into 3 blocks namely Administration & Teaching Block, Hospital Block, and Residential Block.
- The faculty strength of this college and Hospital is nearly 108 Teaching staff as Doctor, Sr and Jr.Residents, and Non Teaching staff members.
- The college has an Examination Hall of floor area covers 250sq.mts with seating arrangements of 100capacity.
- An auditorium is fully air-conditioned available for using for conducting different Cultural events, Seminars etc.
In Addition, Lecture theatres 3nos available in College with a capacity of 150 each and one in Hospital with a capacity of 70 seats. - MLBMC library is situated on the first floor of Teaching block an area covered 1220sq.mts with having readers capacity of 150persons.
- The collection of the library is 13192 books and 5600 back volumes of journals and Indian/ foreign journals about 85 currently.
- The library has microfilm reader/reprography equipment and recently established a Caber Unit with Internet linkage and in addition Internet and on-line MEDLARS/search are available for students purposes to academic facilities.

- Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College has provided following hostels for its undergraduate and postgraduate students such as C V Raman Hostel – Under Graduate boys’ hostel; Dhanwantari Hostel – Under Graduate boys’ hostel and Irls Hostel – Under Graduate girl’s hostel with all together accommodates around 451 students.
