• The Medical College Hospital and OPD buildings are built on 34,903 sqm, and the rest areas are hostel blocks.

The Government Medical College has a separate hostel and residential complex for students and staff of over 32,333 sqm.
The SMMC has two examination halls, 500 square meters in area, each of which has a capacity of 250 students.
The air conditioning auditorium is 60,000 square feet in size, with a large stage and 2500 seat capacity, This Medical College has a total of six lecture halls.
The college building has five lecture halls with a capacity of 120 students each.
There is a lecture hall available with 150 seating capacity in the hospital building.
These lecture halls are built as a gallery type with air conditioning and audio and video facilities.
Each of the attached toilet facilities has separate common rooms of 150 square meters.
The library is 2000 square metres designed with plenty of natural light that supports quiet individual and group study.

The library contains a total of 19,000 medical textbooks, 70 Indian journals and 70 foreign journals, In the e-library section it has 25 computers.

• There are 6 hostels inside the campus, 3 for female UG students, CRRIs and postgraduates Similarly there are 3 hostels for male students.
• These hostels are under the care of a warden and a personal caretaker for each hostel building.

• The inpatient facility is equipped with intensive care units for surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics.

Central Oxygen Supply Central Division Facility and Ventilators, Laboratory Service is also available.The cardiology department was launched in 2011.
Initially it was launched as a non-intervention sector with facilities including OPD Consulting, ECG, ECHO and TMT.
As the department gradually attracted more patients from all over Kanyakumari, the management decided to facilitate the intervention in the department There are 120 beds in each of general medicine and general surgery.
There are more than 60 beds in each of paediatrics, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology.
Tuberculosis and respiratory medicine and psychiatry have 20 beds ENT, Dermatology and Ophthalmology have 30 beds each.
The hospital has 12 operating theatres, 10 for Major and 2 for Minor Operations.
Kidney Transplant Services are launched in 2017.
