MBBS Admission Counselling for West Bengal State Quota is conducted by Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kolkata includes MBBS seats in Government and Private Medical Colleges located in West Bengal. 15% MBBS Management Quota Seats in self-financing college are open for students from any state of India.
Registration for West Bengal State quota counselling is conducted online. The candidate should fill the following particulars in the online application form:
The pre-counseling phase is introduced to prepare the State Wise Merit list of West Bengal for participation in the state quota UG medical counselling.
→ Enter Roll No, Application number, DOB, Enter Security Pin and click submit button.
→ Enter Mobile No, Email ID, District Name, Complete Mailing Address, Pincode and click Continue.
→ Check the above details and click continue to confirm.
→ Your PCB details, Domicile Details, Category Details, check review details and make payment.

The candidate who has filled out the eligibility will do the following steps. First, fill out the Online Registration. After completing the Registration a few days later the UG Online Application is Starting then the application fees payment process going and then the Acknowleged meant slip is generated. After the process, the document verification is conducted at the college level (swasthya Bhavan for NRI candidates only).
After Physical document verification, the choice filling and choice locking is started. Then the seats are allotted, after the college allotment, the document verification process on the allotted college.
After the choice filling, only the locked choices for that particular round shall be processed for seat allotment of the candidates.
After the acknowledgments are generated, candidates can check their colleges name, date, and time schedule for physical document verification. They have to attend on the specified date and time slot and at the allotted college or (Swasthiya Bhavan only for NRI candidates) with original certificates and one set of self-attested copies of documents for document verification.
After successful document verification, the candidate will be handed over a verified certificate. First, the provisional list will be published on the counseling website then the final list will be published. Only the candidate names included in the final list can fill the choices for the such round.
Now after the final verified list, if the candidate gets allotted to a particular medical college, there will be a physical document verification of the allotted candidate in the allotted college.
Once successfully verified, such candidate shall be admitted to the college and the college authority shall hand over the computer-generated admission letter to the admitted candidate. During the admission process of round 1, the allotted candidate will be asked to give his/her option to participate in the next round in the allotted college. If the preference is confirmed, only the candidate is eligible to participate in Round 2.
Candidates who are not allotted or not reported for admission in Round 1 or are not given choices in Round 1 are also allowed to participate in Round 2.
The candidates who have selected West Bengal as the state to which the candidate belongs, while filling up the form for NEET UG 2024 and subsequently verified for domicile status successfully, will only be eligible for the West Bengal State Quota seats 2024. If the candidate has not selected West Bengal as a permanent residence state or his / her parents is not a domicile of WB, but the candidate is an Indian Citizen, then the candidate is eligible to participate in counselling for Private Management Quota seats only.
Proforma a1: Candidate should continuously reside in West Bengal for at-least last 10 years – Residential/Domicile Certificate
Proforma a2: last 10 year continous residence in West bengal where the candidate has passed 10+2 Examination from West Bengal.
Proforma b: Parents are permanent residents of West Bengal who have their permanent home address within West Bengal and continuously live for at least last 10 years in West Bengal.
Proof of domicile / Local residence certificates can be obtained from the west bengal e-district portal.
In case proforma b or e-district domicile of the parent is furnished, it is required to produce any two of the following original ID proof (Voter ID card, Aadhar Card, Passport) of the concerned parent during the stage of document verification where the said ID cards show that the residential address is in West Bengal.
Who are authorized to sign the domicile/residential certificate:
Proforma a1 or b must be signed and certified by any of the following competent authorities of State Government or Central Govt. having local jurisdiction of the place of permanent residence of the candidate or the parent as the case may be e.g:-
1. District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Deputy Magistrate, Deputy Collector, Sub Divisional Officer, Block Development Officer.
2. Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Divisional Police Officer.
3. Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of Police Commissioner.
4. Judicial Magistrate of concerned district / Metropolitan locality or Honorable High Court at Calcutta or Honorable Supreme Court of India.
5. Corporation area: Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner.
6. Assistant Secretary in Govt of West Bengal or Central Govt.
7 . Deputy Director in Govt of West Bengal or Central Govt.
Certification from any other authority other than those enumerated above will not be accepted.Member of panchayat system or GTA, Member of Legislative Assembly or Member of Parliament is not accepted. Every official certifying the domicile status of candidate or parent must provide his/her FULL NAME, DESIGNATION, PLACE OF POSTING WITH ADDRESS, LANDLINE or MOBILE Number.

Proforma a2 must be signed and certified by the HeadMaster/Principal/Director/ Head of the institution in the State of West Bengal from which the candidates have passed 10+2 Examination.
