- Assam medical college started on November 3, 1947.
- The first batch of admission was in September 1947 the course is completed with 6 seats.
- In 1948 February Governor Sri Prakash inaugurated the hospital of the college wings.
- The paraclinical and clinical department continued outpatient function till 1950 former Berry white medical school.
- Because of the earthquake of Assam in 1950, Departments and the outdoor were shifted to the present AMCH Campus borbari.
- Initially, the college was starting with 65 seats, now 170 students join MBBS course Every year.
