The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one-year compulsory residential internship. Admission Procedure and Eligibility
Eligibility: 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)
Admission Procedure: It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. The Central Library is spacious, fully equipped with air-conditioned, and has well-stocked with books and up to date periodicals which is the backbone of this organization. The library houses more than 17,000 books and numerous national and international journals. There are separate departmental libraries with 100-200 books in each department. With dedicated staff and budget, the library caters to the needs of faculty and students in terms of content and environment for acquiring knowledge. It provides a safe and secure environment for students and staff.
The Library has more than 17000 Books and 2708 Reference Books,103 journals including 49 National and 53 International books with 2750 back volumes. It also has more than 800 CDs and DVDs. It provides unlimited Internet access with a Wi-fi facility and a reading hall providing access for 24 hours. Book Bank Facility and Refreshment Facility also available for students. There is a computer Lab with 40 systems and that is connected with Autolib NG Library management software. It provides eight reading rooms with AV facilities. The library has special features with CCTV surveillance and a Biometric facility.
The college has a total of five lecture halls. Out Of those five theaters, 4 theaters are used by the Medical College and the other is used by the hospital. Of these college lecture halls having seating for 200 each and another one having 300 capacity. It also acts as MCI Auditorium. This MCI Auditorium enabling the special feature of Live Video capturing. It is also used as a teleconference all these are spacious with air conditioning and non-air-conditioned rooms and all modern amenities like microphones and overhead projectors, LCD, LAN, Laptop, Audio System, Internet, desktop with webcam and WiFi Facility. These are flat benches, inclined benches, barbells, fitness cycle, dumbbells, pull-up bar, power pack, bench, treadmill, and bicycle. A green gym has been set up on the main grounds, all of which are used by students and staff to improve their fitness and health and to enhance the outdoor environment. This modern gym allows students and staff to stay away from the routine of a regular gym or sports center. A yoga center with a capacity of about 120 students is also available. Yoga and meditation sessions are organized for staff and students through the Yoga Cell.
Dr.PMC provides the college buses to students for all academic and non-academic outdoor activities such as field visits, social service camps, health camps, trekking, and nature trips.
