Infrastructure

• Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences have two examination halls available with 500 sqm area and 250 seating capacity in each.
• There are 16 numbers demonstration rooms available, each with two to 8 faculties, equipped with fold-out chairs, main projector, slide projector, LCD display, and other audiovisual functions for at least 75 students.
• Four fully air-conditioned gallery-type Lecture halls with a capacity for 180 students are available in the college building and a hospital building with one air-conditioned gallery-type Lecture room with a capacity for 200 students.
• These Lecture halls have the necessary independent audiovisual resources, including a projector, slide projector, LCD projector, and a microphone.
• These classes should be divided by all departments on schedule, All lecture rooms are designed for E-class installations.
• Separate Common rooms are available for boys and girls students built up in an area of more than 325 sqmts and each with attached toilet and 150 seating capacity.
• Karpagam Medical College has a Fully air-conditioned central library with an area of 3200 sqm with a capacity for up to 300 students to read, good lighting, ventilation, storage, book and magazine exhibition.
• There are 2408 books in several departmental libraries and seminar rooms.
• Inside the Central Library, there is a room for 150 students and outside for 150 students, It has a total of 11,000 books and 4,020 reference books.
• The library continually subscribes to about 114 issues of magazines, of which 30 are foreign, A reading room for 30 people is also available.
• Librarians and other staff rooms, log rooms, copy rooms, audiovisual rooms, air-conditioned computer rooms with 40 computers connected to the Internet are available.

Hostel

• The KFMS&R Undergraduate hostel has 285 rooms with totally 570 accommodation facilities.
• This Medical Faculty has over 85 rooms at PG Hostel and 50 at Interns Hostel, Nurses hostel available with 40 rooms.
• These hostels offer over 1000 accommodations for students and doctors in training.
• Recreation rooms are available with Television, Music and indoor games facilities and the hostel has 24-hour security.
• Outdoor and indoor facilities such as volleyball, badminton, handball, football and cricket, and indoor facilities such as table tennis, starfish, chess, etc Gyms are available.

• All operating rooms are equipped with central oxygen, nitrous oxide, and suction devices.Intensive care units in cardiology, medicine, neonatology, paediatrics, and 5-bed surgery for each available for the treatment of needy patients.
• Health Centres – Primary Health Centres and Rural/Urban Health Training Centres RHTC Thekani located 10 kms from the college and UHTC -Sundarapuram ; located 10 kms from the college,
