Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research(MIMER Pune) is started in the year 1994. It was located in Talegaon Dabhade, near Pune. At the starting stage, the institute was affiliated to the University of Pune. Later, the college is transferred to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. The annual intake is 150 students for MBBS course on the basis of NEET Exam. This private medical college is recognized by Medical Council of India.

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research provides MBBS Course with 100 Seats which are divided as 30% for Management Quota and 70% Maharashtra State Quota. The tuition fees for General Category Students stands at Rs 7,69,990/Year and for OBC students – Rs 458990/Year, SC Students-Rs 1,04,545, NRI Students-Rs 34,70,125/Year.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility
Eligibility: 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)
State Quota MBBS Seats:
MIMER has 70 MBBS Seats available under Maharashtra state quota which are reserved under Local Candidates and Unreserved Area. 70% of the state quota seats are reserved for candidates who belong to the same region where the college is located. The remaining 20% Maharashtra state quota seats are available for any candidate who reside anywhere in the state. There is horizontal reservation of 30% for Women candidates across all reservations.

Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research has an individual museum with 507 specimens, 170 charts, 402 radiographs and 200 models. This is one of the Best Museum in Maharashtra. It contains skeletons of human and other vertebrates, radiographs and developmental anatomy models, Head and Neck, Thorax, Upper and Lower Limbs, Abdomen, Nervous system & Embryology Section.
Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research student hostel is built-up floor area of 25000 square metres. MIMES Hostel is situated in the College Campus and it owns 94 Rooms for Boys and 95 Rooms for girls. And it has Separate Accommodation for Post Graduate Students with 42 Rooms.
