Infrastructure

  • The Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences has a central library of 1880 square meters.
  • It provides inside and outside reading room for students which has the capacity for 100 students each.
  • The BMC Library contains 11630 text books and reference books, especially with the latest edition books, 99 out of 179 journals and 80 foreign journals.
  • PMSRC has 5 lecture theatres that are divided into 4 theatres for the Medical college and another one theatre for the hospital.
  • Out of these 4 Medical college theatres, 3 has the seating capacity for 120 students and another one has 250 capacity.
  • Then Hospital theatre with a seating capacity of 120 students.
  • The Examination hall has the area of 422 square meter.
  • This is situated on the first floor of B- block of the campus with a seating capacity of 200.
  • It also has an Auditorium that was built in 526 Square meter with a seating capacity of 700.
  • There is also senate hall and conference hall available with the area of 306 Square meter and 85 Square meter.

  • There are 2 separate hostel buildings are available for boys accommodation.
  • A total of 346 boys can stay in the Boys Hostel building.
  • It also has 3 separate hostel buildings for girls.
  • A total of 368 women can stay in this hostel.The hostel offers good water and mess facilities.
  • Pushpagiri College hostel also has 100 capacity for Interns, 90 capacity for residents including PG, 296 capacity for nurses and 296 capacity for Teaching and Non teaching staff Residential quarters.
  • Common rooms are also available in the hostel for boys and girls that has the capacity for 60 students.
  • There is Football court, a basketball court, volleyball court and Cricket playground.

  • The city has a well-developed transportation infrastructure and as the college is located within a city and the KSRTC bus station is 2 kms from the college and takes 5 minutes to travel.
  • Thiruvalla Train Station is one of Kerala’s main train stations, located 2.5 kms away and takes 15 minutes by car.
  • In addition, the nearest airports are Calicut International Airport, located 115 kms on the north side of the college, which takes a 3-hour drive, and another airport from Trivandrum International Airport, in the southbound direction, 134 kms away with 3 hours of travel.
  • Both the Airports are well connected with Domestic as well as foreign countries.
