Infrastructure

SKIMS Srinagar has an Academic Block and its consists with the following Teaching Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Bio-Chemistry, Pathology, Micro-Biology, Forensic Medicine and SPM located on the ground floor of the College. In addition, the Central Library, Auditorium, classrooms, and Audio-Visual section are also located towards the College side of the campus.

Library

The Library is known as SKIMS Library and was commissioned in the year 1982 and located on the 3rd floor of the faulty block, centrally accessible location.  The collection of Books in the Library around 19000 with a bound volume of 16000. Also having Special collection of Video cassettes of 150, 290 CDs and Special Publications WHO of 280. The Library services to meet their informational, educational and research-related needs.

Also, the following Special Services Offered in the Library as
Bibliographies on demand, Computerized Theses search through OPAC, Computerized Search Books/ Journals, Selective Dissemination of information services, & Current Aberrances services.

Facilities

SKIMS Srinagar has well-maintained Hostel facilities available within the campus and a total of 04 Blocks, each two for male/ female students and the total rooms are 130. The Hostel with all the entertainment facilities consisting of a TV room, Table Tennis room, and a reading room.

Affiliated Hospitals

SKIMS Medical College & Hospital comprises General Health care for the Clinical Department, Intensive Care Units and other Intermediate care areas. The Hospital has Seven Floors and each comprising of two independent wards and two floors for Paying Wards. In addition, there are areas for Post Transplant, Hematology-Oncology and Burns patients.

The Outpatient facility comprises a polyclinic were inpatients are screened and filtered for further assessment in the Referral Clinic. The Referral Clinic is run by various Super-specialty departments and also has an independent area for Sample Collection, Basic Investigative Setup, and Dietary & Psychosocial counseling.
