MBBS Course

The MBBS course is a four and a half year period followed by a one year compulsory rotating residential internship.The lasting 12-month internship includes short courses in community health, medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, child health, orthopedics, emergency medicine and various specialties. All these are according to the guidelines of the Medical Council of India. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the candidate marks obtained in the NEET-UG rank held by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Topiwala National Medical College offers MBBS -Under Graduate Course with total intake of 150 seats annually and the seats are allotted through 15% for All India Quota and 85% for Maharashtra State Govt Quota.

Admission Procedure and Eligibility

Eligibility: 17 years of age or above as on 31-Dec of the admission year. The maximum age limit to Study MBBS course is 25 years. All Higher Secondary School Students with 10+2 in science stream including biology or biotechnology along with Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible(In case of SC/ST, 40% in board exams; 45% for OBC Category)

Admission Procedure: It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after 12th grade who wish to get MBBS admission. All the Government, Private, Central and Deemed Universities will be based on NEET scores and the seats for all colleges / institutions / universities will be offered through counselling based on the eligibility Score/Rank, Preferences of colleges and seats available.

Infrastructure

Topiwala National Medical College is one of the largest medical institutions in the state of Maharashtra. The college associated with BYL Nair charitable hospital. There are five lecturer halls are available each has 130 seating capacity. The college has a multipurpose auditorium, it is built over an area of 825 sq.mt. In TNMC, totally eight major departments are offered, all contain demonstration hall, well-equipped laboratories, department libraries, research lab, dissection hall, museum, and seminar room also.

Library

Topiwala National Medical College central library covers an area 10,830 sq.ft. The library has a large number of medical text and reference books and also provides the accessibility of Indian and foreign journals with computer and internet facility. The library was maintained by well-experienced librarian and staff. Air-conditioned reading rooms are available. The TNMC library has working from 7 am to 10 pm.

Museum

TNMC organized departmental oriental museum, that shows the history of medicine, 400 mounted specimens, 190 charts, 2 catalogues, models, and bonesets. It prepared by students under the guidance of corresponding professors. The TNMC anatomy department has 12 cadavers.

Facilities

Topiwala National Medical College has a separate hostel for boys and girls. The Hostels have study rooms and Separate Visitor Hall for spending time with parents and get some relaxation. Boys Hostel is managed by 25 Staff Members. The students under the control of the male and female wardens.

The radiological and diagnostical laboratories are controlled by the department of pathology.
