Infrastructure

• ASCOM Jammu is spread over an area of 10.5 acres with the following Academic facilities as College Block & Hospital Blocks.
• There are total o5 Lecture Theaters with adequate facilities and a seating capacity are 250 persons.
• The College has Demonstration rooms for all the departments and each Department has equipped Laboratories as prescribed by MCI.
• An Auditorium is available as a Gallery type with a seating capacity of 500 persons.
• The total strength of the Teaching staff is 253 including Professors, Associate Professors, Lecturers, Senior & Junior residents, and Demonstrators.
• And Non Teaching staff’s total strength is 781 including Para-Medical, clerical and other Admin staff.

Hostel

• Ascom’s Jammu has separate Hostel facilities for both Boys and Girls that are located within the campus.
• Total 4nos of 201 rooms for UG students accommodate 375 persons and 2nos of 34 rooms for Interns and can accommodate 102 students.
• All rooms are furnished and have Adequate facilities with all the entertainment facilities consisting of a TV room, Table Tennis room, and a reading room.
• In addition, a Separate Hostel for PG students of 27 room and accommodate 54 persons with all adequate facilities.Ascom has both Indoor games and outdoor games available for the students.
• The Indoor game includes Table tennis, Chess, badminton, carom, etc, and outdoor games on playfields such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, and Hockey.
• Moreover, the college has Gymnasium for the students.

Affiliated Hospitals

• ASCOM hospital has nearly 600 beds and includes Emergency and Critical Care Areas and ICU Facilities separately provided.
• The college started with 507 beds based on the recommendation of the J & K Government, and Now increased to 600 beds which include Emergency and Critical Care Areas.
• Outpatient Clinical is available within the campus and it provides the following Health Care Facilities such as Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Laparoscopic surgery, Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics& Gynecology, Pediatrics, Dental, Skin, STD, Psychiatry, E.N.T, Ophthalmology, Radio-diagnosis with M.R.I, C.T.Scan, Ultrasound, Colour Doppler, X-rays.
• In Addition, The Hospitals provided the following Special Healthcare Services to the Patients.
• Super Specialty Services – Heart care, By-Pass surgery, Coronary Angiography, Valve Replacement, Vascular & Thoracic Surgery.
• Neuro-Surgery, Brain & Spine Centre- Surgery for a brain tumor, microsurgery for lumbar and cervical disc prolapsed, spinal tumor, head & spine injuries.
• Ophthalmology- Cataract Surgery by PHACO & SICS Procedure and Urology- Endoscopic removal of stones, Enlargement of prostate & Stricture Urethra PCNL, TUR prostate and TUR tumors of bladder & urethra plasty.
• Paediatrics- Surgical facilities for neonatal and congenital anomalies, Dialysis Unit -Haemodialysis for kidney patients is available with the latest equipment imported from Germany.
• Primary Health Centres- PHC-I Bishnah is a distance from the college 25kms, PHC-II Rehal is a distance from the college 30kms, PHC-III Arnia is a distance from the college 30kms.
